Growing talent is part of the Tulsa Region’s DNA. A robust network of career and technical education campuses provides workforce training in advanced manufacturing, welding, fabrication, industrial maintenance, continuous improvement, and other high-demand skills. Complementing these programs, regional higher education institutions offer industry-recognized degrees and certificates that prepare students for careers in manufacturing engineering technology, production, quality assurance, and inspection. Together, these talent pipelines help ensure manufacturers have access to a skilled, work-ready workforce.

Tulsa manufacturers are supported by three air freight carriers, two mainline rail carriers, easy access to the Port of Catoosa and central access to major U.S. cities via I-44, I-40 and I-35. The Tulsa Regional Chamber also holds quarterly meetings of the Manufacturers’ Council, which shares best practices within the sector and provides networking opportunities for industry professionals.

As an Oklahoma Works Together Centers for Workforce Excellence, Tulsa’s Future has been established as a Manufacturing Center of Workforce Excellence. The center is the core of Tulsa’s advanced manufacturing industry, aligning resources and filling the need for skilled workers in the business community.

The Tulsa Regional Chamber’s Manufacturers’ Council brings together industry leaders from across the region to discuss the issues shaping the future of manufacturing. Through regular meetings, facility tours, and expert presentations, members gain insights into workforce development, emerging technologies, supply chain trends, legislative updates, and best practices. The council fosters collaboration among manufacturers, education partners, and community stakeholders while helping companies stay informed, connected, and competitive in an evolving industry landscape.
