As a Manufacturing Center of Workforce Excellence, Tulsa’s Future builds upon existing partnerships within the local manufacturing industry ecosystem while prioritizing three strategic areas.

• We will focus on the future workforce skills needed to enable manufacturers in our region to improve their processes and products that are aligned with the integration of an advanced manufacturing approach.
• We will work to increase and target the development of virtual and blended learning as the vehicle for equipping the workforce with the future skills needed.
• We will work to increase collaboration within our region to address and promote equitable access to skill and career development that includes minority populations with employment challenges.

As Oklahoma’s premiere workforce development initiative, Oklahoma Works Together aligns education and training programs with the needs of employers — helping to create a more skilled and competitive workforce. Some of the initiatives that Oklahoma Works Together may undertake include developing and implementing training programs, providing job placement services, and connecting employers with regional educational institutions to help create pathways for workers to acquire the skills they need to succeed in high-demand industries.
